Light

I have this picture. It is me in a closet. Not as nice as the featured one above. It is a little darker, actually. I am there facing forward toward a wall so all I can see is my back. There is a candle in front of me. My hands are up in the air with my palms upturned, as if in worship.

It is warm. Comfortable. And selfish.

The scripture does say “when you pray go into your closet” Matthew 6:6

It does not, say that I should stay there!

This is also a prophetic picture of the church today. We go into our private churches and are satisfied in our own light. We are meant to take the light outside where it is needed!
