Discover My Spiritual Journey in ‘The Scent of Water’

That’s right, the day has finally arrived, my first book is available on Amazon in the country where you live!

All my attention has been focused on reaching this destination. So , now what? Never has it been clearer to me the scripture that says, “How will they know unless someone tell them?” Sure, someone may wonder on Amazon looking for a book like mine and stumble upon it. But I would think that will be the exception. They will not find it specifically unless they have heard my name or know someone that knows me!

Someone who knows that I have written, “The Scent of Water” would have to tell them.

Why do I care? Was it enough to author the book as a catharsis in my personal spiritual journey? Clearly the answer is, no. This is a humble book but there is such good news here! It does not follow modern conventions of “successful spirituality”. I do not want to be famous, or important or have a platform. I just want to tell my story. Like Mary Magdalene in the series, The Chosen, “I was one way and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between, was Him.’ It is my testimony.

In testimonies, we are given hope, encouragement, and the good news! Jesus is real and at work still today in the lives of ordinary people. The breath of the Holy Spirit. The fire of the Holy Spirit. The ignition of our faith. What I thought was a destination is the beginning of something. I am not sure, yet what it will look like but I will be doing things I did not expect! Already in the last couple of days I found out there is such a thing as a media kit. A tool to introduce my book to bookstores or to people in a position to tell more people than would be possible for me to reach.

I like to encourage my readers on this blog to seek out a life of hearing God and obedience to His already revealed word, the scripture. I take this opportunity to say it is more than likely that you too will be doing things you did not expect in a lifetime. It is only in obedience to each step at a time we discover a path the Lord has already prepared. Right now, as I type I am listening to one of my favourite songs to God by Jonathon Thurlow, “Eyes of Mercy” One of the best lines is that reference to scripture, “I am holding on to the love that has laid hold of me” I reach out to apprehend that which I have been apprehended for!

For what have you been apprehended? Firstly, for ALL of us it is to have a captured heart! After that, there is a path that is only for you and Jesus. No one can take those steps for you. Not your pastor, teacher, mentor, not even your spouse. We all have our own salvation to work out! At times fraught with “many a danger, toil and fear”

It remains to be seen the path that is ahead of me because I wrote this book. I am sure I will have to do things that I have no desire to do. But I will do them because of HIM. I am no hero, just a very ordinary person in love my God and Savior. For what purpose did the Lord apprehend you? Are you telling your story?

Do me a favour and help me get the message out. Read the book leave a review on Amazon! It will do something to help those fascinating ahem algorithms.

And by all means, if you know of someone that I should send my media kit to, please message me!

You are loved.
